Q5. You say you pass your overhead savings on to your members. How does this work?
A5. DatAccess saves money in several areas:
- DatAccess' New York headquarters oversee a sophisticated system of servers that form the core of our many services. We also utilize the expertise of several companies to further develop and maintain our service to achieve the highest level of redundancy possible. Multiple servers are maintained in several locations to continually guard against interruption of service. This outsourcing saves money. Savings that we pass along to our growing family of members in the form of lower subscription rates.
- We DO NOT employ a "telemarketing, boiler room" mentality. We think employing hundreds of people to make telephone calls results in high employee turnover, needless telephone expense, and frankly are annoying to prospective customers.
- We formed an Advisory Board comprised of leading industry companies. Gaining insight through our Advisory Board enables us to save time and money by implementing features that the industry wants, not what we think it should use.

Q7. Does DatAccess participate in the sale of any inventory or services?
A7. No. DatAccess does not participate in any way in the purchase or sale resulting from contacts among its members. We provide subscribers with Supplier Summaries containing the contact information of each supply source, and the option to use our FAST RFQ Service, FREE of charge to send RFQs to your selected supply sources. All negotiations and subsequent sales and purchases are between the buyers and sellers.

Q8. You say that DatAccess can increase my inventory turnover. How?
A8. Listing your inventory with DatAccess allows you to enter as many part number cross-references as you desire. As a result, buyers will find you no matter what part number they enter. In addition to Government Master Cross-Reference Data, DatAccess provides a Cross-Reference / Alternate Part Number Look-up to assist in locating those hard to find parts. This database is linked to our Supplier database, so conducting part searches and issuing RFQs is easy.

Q9. What if I can't find a part?
A9. No database can contain every part number. In those instances where this might occur, DatAccess informs you of the part numbers that returned no results, and provides several solutions:
- You can use DatAccess Advanced Search, and see all the parts that begin with any partial part numbers you enter, or find suppliers who have similar parts.
- You can use our Cross-Reference / Alternate Part Number Look-up which will provide you with a listing of industry cross-reference options and alternate part number considerations.
- Expand your search by checking the Government's Master Cross-Reference Listing in our NSN database, which also accepts industry part number entries.
- Review the Government's Procurement History for additional suppliers.
- Create a Message Broadcast and Power Ad to alert the industry that you are looking for a certain part.
- You can call us at 1-631-803-6092, and we will help you with your search solutions.

Q11. Can I conduct part searches on more than one part at a time?
A11. Yes. DatAccess provides entry of up to 100 part numbers at a time. Our paste function allows you to paste part numbers from a text or spreadsheet application directly into our Part Search Grid. This function easily accommodates searches of 50 to 100 parts at a time, with the results returned in less than 10 seconds.

A16. You can send your information via e-mail to info@DatAccess.net, or you can mail a diskette containing your data to DatAccess, P.O. Box 255, Bohemia, NY 11716.
We accept all text delimited, Excel, Access, dBase, ILS and zipped files in any format.
In addition to listing your quantities, part numbers and descriptions. You may optionally list pricing and comments. Please include your contact information (telephone, fax, e-mail address, and contact personnel), so buyers can directly communicate with you. We recommend frequent updates to keep your information current and your company name at the top of our Supplier Summaries.

A17. DatAccess maintains strict confidentiality on all its members. Your contact information is ONLY provided to DatAccess members, who have access to our Supplier Summaries. We DO NOT give, sell or transfer your contact information and/or e-mail address to any other party for the purpose of initiating or enabling others to send you electronic mail messages known as SPAM. DatAccess' Message Broadcast service is designed to give you control over all content, enabling you to include or exclude the contact information that viewers will see.
